Today is a good day!!☀️ It was my first time to go back to work after the lockdown, and I feel most alive when I'm in front of the camera. I missed working with my glam team, whom I consider as my extended family. (nonstop chikahan! 🤣) Also, this project is unique because it’s my first time working with someone I have been so curious about working with! And I had a blast! I feel grateful for being a part of this new family. My heart is full! ❤️
I read somewhere that when you smile, your mood actually improves. Even when you think things aren’t going your way, when you smile, the muscles in your face are sending signals to the emotional centers of your brain that everything is good. So, even if it’s not, it will be soon 😊 . . . make-up @tingduque hair @hairbybrentsales
I’ve been trying to write my thoughts and reflections during the quarantine. It’s funny how sometimes, you can surprise yourself on how your mood changes and how you cope with the sudden isolation. I have to say; this is no different from how I used to make a “character plan” whenever I’m getting to know a particular character, may it be for a tv series or a new movie, only this time, I am getting to know... ME. It’s been a journey.
In these difficult times, we must learn how to adapt. We have to accept the fact that there are things that we cannot change and that we need to focus on what we can control, our minds, and how we react to our current circumstances. As the saying goes, ”The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It’s about what you’re made of, not the circumstances.” I know you are resilient and that you will overcome this. Kaya mo yan! 👊🏻
Hi Mama! Nakilala ko na ang paborito mo! 🤣 Joke! Team I AM HOPE went to Pasig this afternoon to turnover relief bags and disinfectants for the frontliners. Thank you, Mayor Vico Sotto and Cong. Roman Romulo, for your time. 🙏🏻 In line with Father’s Day, we intend to celebrate the fathers who choose to serve the community by cleaning the streets and picking up our garbage. MARAMING SALAMAT PO sa mga tatay na street sweepers at garbage collectors sa pagtulong sa ating kumunidad at sa pagttrabaho ng marangal para sa kanilang pamilya. From the I AM HOPE FAMILY, HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! swipe! . . . @iamhope_org @thisisrinanavarro @tricia_canilao @iam_mariamay @vicosotto @cong.romanromulo @shalanisoledad
TOGETHER, WE CAN. I AM HOPE ORG. decided to showcase the true Filipino spirit of BAYANIHAN through cooking 500 food packs for the students of UP DILIMAN who were stranded and the front liners of the Youth for Nationalism and Democracy & Office of VP Leni Robredo. 100 food packs came straight from my kitchen, 100 packs were cooked by Tanya and Vhong and 300 packs were prepared by our volunteers in our headquarters headed by Rina. Even though we’re miles away from each other, it was as if I was cooking right next to them, with the same goal of putting smiles on people’s faces and filling their tummies with food prepared with LOVE and HOPE.❤️ . @iamhope_org @thisisrinanavarro @vhongx44 @iam_mariamay @tricia_canilao
To our friends and fellow artists, Hi. It’s been a while since we’ve done this — way back in 2009 in fact when we first put up Shop and Share to help those who were affected by Typhoon Ondoy. We had actors, singers and even basketball players donate personal items from designer bags, clothes, jerseys, jewelry, etc., and we auctioned them off on ebay, with all the proceeds going to the Philippine Red Cross. And, now, we humbly reach out again. These are hard times, truly frightening times for the Filipino people, especially with corona virus cases still on the rise. Many have been doing their part in trying to give hope or just to make each day easier for those who are in need. And the hard truth is they will remain in need as Covid-19 remains the invisible enemy amongst us changing our lives and sadly disrupting livelihoods. We would like to revisit the idea of artists coming together and helping those who need it the most. This time, with the funds we raise, we would like to purchase test kits and allow testing opportunities for the poorer sectors in the hopes of helping out in the efforts to provide mass testing in the country. Yes, in support of mass testing. Because in this way we can make a higher impact, by pushing the TEST-TRACE-ISOLATE/TREAT formula that is the only proven way to defeat the virus. If you are keen on helping, please do let us know what you could donate and at what price point you think it would be fair to offer. We will likely use a Buy Now or Best Offer type of arrangement. We would only request from you to please take: a) a picture of yourself with the item/s, b) a clear picture of the item, and c) write a short description of what it is you are donating. Once the item is purchased online, we will then have our team pick it up and handle everything from them on. We will also share with you any information on the buyer, with their consent of course. We do hope you can join us as all work together to help flatten the curve in the Philippines in our own little way. God Bless You, Team Shop & Share. @therealangellocsin
